TREUHAND|SUISSE sections

Members are affiliated with one of the 12 regional sections of the TREUHAND|SUISSE. The sections act autonomously in their local markets. They have their own structures and organise their own continuing education offerings. There are also two specialist sections that members can join: Vereinigung eidg. dipl. Experte in Rechnungslegung und Controlling (VEBIT) for accountants and Schweizerische Vereinigung dipl. Treuhandexperten (SVDT/OSEFID) for fiduciary experts.

Professional Committee

The Professional Committee judges violations of the rules of the profession. It can be called upon to arbitrate by members of the association as well as fiduciary clients.
President / General Secretariat.

Council of Delegates

The association is headed by the Council of Delegates, which generally assembles annually. Its main task is to elect the Executive President, the Business Committee and the members of the Professional Committee.

Executive Board

The Executive Board comprises the presidents of the individual sections and the Executive President. It determines the association's policies and programme of activities.

Business Committee

The Business Committee is in charge of business operations and reports to the Executive Board. It consists of the Executive President, Vice President and other members with specific responsibilities. The Executive President is a consulting member.

General Secretariat

The General Secretariat offers a point of contact for all members, sections and interested parties.

Finance Department

Functions

  • Financial management and accounting for the umbrella organisation, including the SRO and EKAS
  • Coordination of audits of the umbrella organisation
  • Coordination and information exchange with the respective department officers of the TREUHAND|SUISSE sections and institutions

Department Management

Training and Education Department

Functions

  • Overall responsibility for training and educational policy at national level
  • Coordination and information exchange with the respective department officers of the TREUHAND|SUISSE sections and institutions
  • Fostering of contacts with professional education institutions and universities and with educational and public authorities
  • Monitoring the strategy of the TREUHAND|SUISSE's training institutions (STS, IREF)
  • Representation in education and audit bodies

Public Relations/Media Department

Functions

  • Representing association interests in the national media
  • Coordinating the website of the umbrella organisation and the sections
  • Building corporate identity and image
  • Coordination and information exchange with the respective department officers of the TREUHAND|SUISSE sections and institutions
  • Ensuring communication and the flow of information between the language areas
  • Contributing to the publication of technical publications

Department Management

Professional Issues/Politics/Public Authorities Department

Functions

  • Publishing advisory opinions on legal issues at national level
  • Fostering contacts with national political authorities and national business partners (banks, insurers, Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants and Tax Consultants, etc.)
  • Participating in national professional commissions and associations
  • Formulating nationwide recommendations
  • Coordination and information exchange with the respective department officers of the TREUHAND|SUISSE sections and institutions

Department Management

Industry Development/Quality Assurance Department

Functions

  • Serving in association quality-assurance institutions (SRO, EKAS, etc.)
  • Creating quality-assurance standards for the fiduciary industry
  • Promoting recognition of professional qualifications in Switzerland and elsewhere
  • Maintaining contacts with the Professional Committee
  • Monitoring compliance with the bylaws and central membership conditions
  • Coordination and information exchange with the respective department officers of the TREUHAND|SUISSE sections and institutions
